|Life Cycle Cost|
Simply put, Life Cycle Cost is the cost of something when you factor in all the costs (present and future). The price of an auto goes far beyond the sticker price on the window. Gas, oil changes, insurance, tags, fees, maintenance, and trade in value all make up the total cost of the auto. The same applies to roadways and Asphalt pavements time and time again show the lowest life cycle cost. Not only does asphalt have the lowest initial cost, when the pavement does wear out eventually, that old asphalt is like money in the bank and can be recycled into new asphalt – saving time and money.
